INTO THE THICKET
- RENATA MÜLLER-TIBURTIUS,
- DANIEL THEILER
Into the thicket brings together sculptures and paintings by Renata Müller-Tiburtius and Daniel Theiler. The duo exhibition creates a dialogue between two distinct perspectives on the relationship between humans and nature, exploring how this relationship reflects societal desires and challenges.
Müller-Tiburtius gives nature its own voice through her poetically pop-inspired installations, inviting visitors to actively become part of her artworks. This engagement challenges them to consciously interact with the natural objects presented.
Theiler, on the other hand, explores the potential of merging the natural and the artificial. He deconstructs flora, fauna, and everyday design, reassembling them into hybrid forms that symbolize diversity and societal utopias. His humorous and optimistic visions of a post-natural world encourage viewers to question established norms and imagine new perspectives on solidarity and coexistence.
The joint exhibition invites visitors to explore the intersections and tensions between these two approaches. Together, the works spark a conversation on how humans can rethink and reshape their relationship with nature.
