CLAIRVOYANCE

Inspired by the themes and methodologies of their previous work PLAGIO.2, Clairvoyance emerges as a profound exploration of water as a conduit for emotion, memory, and consciousness. This new work is grounded in a curated collection of Romantic-era poems about water and the ocean, transforming these texts into continuous machine-processed verses from the historical data. These generative languages serve as the basis for an algorithmic composition that reverb into the space and reflect on the liquid sculpture. Transcending linguistic boundaries into sound composition, the liquidity shapes the geometrical frequencies of the emotions transmuted from language into sound.
Historically, poets of the Romantic period have seen water as a mirror of the human soul. In this work, water not only symbolizes the emotion but becomes an active participant in the process. Through the interaction of sound frequencies and water, Clairvoyance visualizes the invisible: vibrations made visible on water’s surface, revealing the connection between sound, movement, memory and feelings.
The generative soundscapes in this work bridge the gap between past and future, human and machine, nature and technology. Each ripple in the sound resonates with the capacity of water to hold and transmit emotional depth, inviting viewers to understand and experience the layers of collective and individual consciousness. Interplaying sound, poetry, and liquid movement, we can perceive nature from a different perspective, not just as a resource but as an active participant in the dialogue of existence.
